About Us
The Iola Tax Place is headed by Mary Olson, who is an Enrolled Agent (EA). The Enrolled Agent (EA) status is the highest credential awarded by the IRS for tax return preparers. Individuals who obtain this elite status must pass a comprehensive test on individual & business tax law, or have qualifying experience as a former IRS employee, adhere to strict ethical standards, and complete a minimum of 72 hours of tax law & ethics continuing education every 3 years. An EA license-holder is entitled to represent taxpayers before the IRS regarding any tax matter. Be sure you have an EA as your tax pro, as EAs are America's Tax Experts.
Staff Assistants Linda and Pat are dedicated to excellence in confidential data entry and document security. They handle your tax stuff with great care, as though it was their own. When they have completed their tasks, Mary Olson EA goes over your return with a fine-tooth comb, reviewing your return for accuracy and completeness, maximizing your tax benefits, and then schedules an appointment to review your tax return with you over the phone before it is e-filed. That is peace of mind...
(A word of caution: If your current preparer does not review your completed return with you before it is e-filed, then it is time you switched to The Iola Tax Place. You are required by law (the IRS) to review your return before you sign off on it.
The Iola Tax Place operates as a virtual (remote) office from Iola, Wisconsin. We are here all year to help you with your taxing needs. 715.445.4829.
